Summer can only mean once thing: Ibiza, la isla bonita. We have been coming to this island every summer for the past ten years and we never get tired of its magic.
With some new places and old favorites, here is our list of 2022 Ibiza Restaurants.
#1 Casa Jondal
This place is pure magic, and the best in the island. The restaurant is stunning, an open space in complete harmony with nature, with beautiful ocean views. The food is just perfect, with fresh ingredients and great quality products. The cigalitas with fried eggs and peppers is mandatory, as well as the prawn tartare with caviar and the fried boquerones.
#2 Sa Punta
Sa Punta is a favorite of ours and an Ibiza classic, it has beautiful views to Dalt Villa and a menu that we love. Must orders are the shrimp carpaccio, the risotto, the pasta, and the roasted baby chicken. The fish here is also great.
#3 Fish Shack
Also known as the secret chiringuito of Ibiza, Fish shack is a very informal spot; it is located right next to the water, so you can go for a swim while you wait for the food. The menu here is very short, offering only a few dishes: grilled shrimp, grilled fish of the day, grilled squid, and baby lamb cutlets; all served with a simple side of potato salad.
#4 Casa Lhasa
This was our first time visiting Casa Lhasa. This place is known for its natural wines, so if you are a fan, this is your spot. The menu is short, offering small sharing plates; we enjoyed the courgette flowers with ricotta, the lamb and the pork terrine. The restaurant is located in the middle of the island, and has a super cute patio.
#5 Cipriani
First time going to their Ibiza location, and the place is fantastic. It has a very nice outdoor space, perfect for al fresco dining. The food is very similar to all other Cipriani’s locations, with some special dishes for the Ibiza restaurant. Don’t miss the beef carpaccio, a Cipriani’s classic, or the truffle pizza, which was delicious, and of course, any of the pasta dishes. And for all those with a sweet tooth, the vanilla merengue cake is a cult favorite.
#6 Zuma
So excited for Zuma to have opened this summer in Ibiza. Last year Zuma opened in Madrid, and now we have two Zuma restaurants in Spain! The space is just gorgeous, an open air restaurant concept next to the Marina with views of Dalt Villa, it is probably one of the most beautiful Zuma’s. The atmosphere was also very magical with live music playing throughout the night. For food, expect the Zuma classics, not much change in that respect.
#7 Nobu
Nobu is another one of our favorites in the island, specially for their very nice open space and terrace, right in front of playa de Talamanca (super nice to go for a walk after dinner allong the beach).
#8 Macao
The cutest spot in Santa Gertrudis. Since we discovered this Italian restaurant a few years ago thanks to a family friend, we have been going every year. Expect in the menu excellent pasta dishes and wood oven pizzas. For dessert head over to Zero Gradi to have the best ice cream in the island, our favorite is their hazelnut flavor.
Located in the small village of San Agustí, this is the perfect place if you are looking to enjoy Spanish food in a more quiet and relax environment. Some of our favorites are the blood sausage ravioli and the suckling pig.
Another spot that we visit every year is Trattoria del Mar. The restaurant is located at Botafoch port and serves delicious seafood Italian food. Our favorites are the paccheri ai tre crostacei and the red prawn tagliatelle or the lobster pappardelle.
#11 Can Domo
Can Domo is another magical place in Ibiza. The restaurant is located in the middle of the island, and is a peaceful oasis away from all the hustle of Ibiza. This year Cañitas Maite has taken over the kitchen at Can Domo. The chefs won Madrid Fusion 2021 prize for the best croqueta, and of course they have it in their menu at Can Domo. The croqueta as well as the other dishes we had were delicious.
#12 Omakase by Walt
This secret speakeasy Omakase spot opened last year and has been a hit ever since. The place is located in a secret spot in Ibiza town; but don’t worry, the chef will give you the address and provide directions a few hours before your reservation, which makes the excitement start even earlier. The sushi bar sits 10 people and has a traditional Omakase menu.
#13 La Paloma
Another popular spot in the island is La Paloma. Although we wouldn’t say that the food here is the best you can find in Ibiza, the place is gorgeous and the food is not bad. The restaurant is very unique, with a lovely outdoor space and stunning garden surrounded by orange trees. It is only of those special places you can only find in this magical island. The dinner menu focuses on Italian cuisine and changes per season, but some of our suggestions are the pumpkin raviolis and the risotto.
